Disputes break the bridge in between causing both the disputing ones fall

Hafis, if I remember it correctly,
You were the first ever one, for me
To have acquainted in the Law College life.

Hope you too remember the same.
You looked fresh and innocent then,
As for me at least, for you were
New in Kerala, almost new,
As a young adolescent boy.
The reason was there, that you were
Brought up, if not born too, I am not sure,
Mostly in gulf country.
So, I could see in you, then, the curiosity
And strange look of and for novelty.

Dear Hafis,
Life and whatever in life
Is not about what we get or got.
Rather, it is about how and what
We take, and take from,
What we get or got.

Hence, nothing to dispute.
Disputes break the bridges in between
Causing both the disputing ones fall
In both their claiming way of winning
Against each other.

So, trying to make your sight mine too,
Your talk mine too,
So as to be able to walk together
As neither behind nor before.

No way need to win over others.
Winning needs my friends to be
As losers on other side,
Which is very negative.
Rather my friends' win
Is and should be my win.

Hence, intended only to open
Many more doors or windows
To receive, accommodate and embrace, and
To prove the existence of other versions
And other sides and faces of truth.

Dear friend, open at both ends,
Things really pass by,
For no obstruction in between.
There the passing by
Becomes the walk and talk of life.
Ever moving and changing life.
Ever growing and flowing life.

Also dear my friend,
To be able to give and receive.
Please, remember,
The very simple thing required is
Ones’ hands to be really open.
Open only, one breathes in and out.

So, uncorking the bottle, my friend,
To unlearn, then learn.
To undo the past and do the present.
To correct and forsake the past
To reach and live in the present.

So, no wrong in living the present,
Or in living in the present,
By correcting the past.
By changing the past to present.
Even by changing the future to present.

But, dear my friend,
We need to erect the pillars of present
In the forgotten wilderness of the past,
And we need to spread the branches of present
In the high sky of future.

Hence, dear my friend,
Just noting what is to be noted.
At least to make all of us aware, that
We have, and we had, thousands of ways
Lost or available to live and look at the things,
Or to make our life so beautiful.

So, complaining to perfect.
Than talking about only one way and one truth.
A looking back.
A looking through different angles.
Branches’ looking down to the roots,
For its own growth.
Roots looking up to the branches
To the result of its efforts.
To reveal the fact one happened to feel
But not meant to deny other’s version.

As beautifully forgot to note:
May be our age (adolescence),
When we entered Law College in 87,
Also caused certain inhibition in us.
The very special age of adolescence.
A different kind of exhibition too.

It was and could be different
For each one of us.

In adolescence, most of the children
Get to be really perplexed, confused.
As to where to start and touch
And as to what to do and not to do.

Most of the children
Overcome this very psychology
With the strength of a group behind them.
Dependingly.
They get courage and confidence
Only when they are in a group, depending.
There, they enjoy and celebrate
With all kinds of naughtiness and exhibitions.

Certain other children are other way round.
They tend to be intact, hence introvert too.
For a different kind of individuality,
Where they try to see themselves
And the world independently,
For wrong or right.
They want to un-define and; then define or redefine.
They want to undo the past; then do present.
They want to unlearn;
Then try to learn new - the change.

Not because of external factors only.
But because of one’s own inner factors too.
Just because of opening of
Thousands of windows together,
In this particular age of adolescence.
Then, for no idea they have in and with them
As to where and how to set his sight.
Where to look at and what to see.

May be some of us were beautifully
Out of the world for their own, for
Spiritual or mental reason or growth.
Of Adolescence.
Waiting to fly like a butterfly later on.

Like, Jain rightly noted “Lost is lost”.
Like rightly said by Jain and rightly noted by you, Hafis.
I was not lamenting.
Nothing personal was there.
No my mistake or no his mistake.
That is not, that was not
And that should not be
The question.

Nobody’s mistake it is or it was.
It happened to be like that.
So, it happened like that.
Happened, because it happened.

At least for some people,
It became monotonous and not enjoyable.
Because our Law college lacked
The beautiful aspects of
A complete college or campus.
Altogether our campus did not become
A campus at all in total,
With all those things required

To make it to a total one.
