What my friend Descartes said is right

“Whom or what
Do you really love?
 
Me or my body?”
 
He asked the people
Visiting him and standing
Around his bed
Sympathizing on him.
 
“Dear my friends,
Don't you see me
Laying on this bed
Chewing and swallowing
Only the pain?
Can't you see
The pain of my body
Has turned me to be sick?”
 
“For sure, Master,
We are all pained
To see you laying sick
Eating only the pain
And living to eat
Only the pain.
 
“Dear Master,
We all love you.
For sure,
We all love you only;
Not and never your body.
And never have we loved a body
That will perish for sure.”
 
“Dear my friends,
Do you all think
Loving a thing or a body
Of perishing nature
Is and will be foolish?
Sheer futility?”
 
“Yes master, yes.
That is why
We consider you
As not perishing,
Except your body.
And the body
We don’t love”
 
“Dear my friends,
Don't you all think
No one is by his body,
So, I too not by my body?"
 
"Yes, Master, yes,
We have no other reason
To think otherwise.
 
“As for us,
You have to be
Not your body only.
Body is and could be yours;
But, you are not
And you can never be
Only of your body."
 
"Also, dear my friends,
So, you all do think and believe
That one’s body is and has to be
Separate and different from him.
So, I am also separate and different
From my body?
 
"Yes Master yes, 
For no doubt,
You have to be, for sure,
Different and separate
From your body."
  
"If so, dear my friends,
Don't you all think
That one’s body will perish
And "he" or "I" in that body
Will remain and survive
With the same feel of “I”
That he or I had while alive
With our bodies?"
 
“Yes, Master, yes.”
 
"Then, dear my friends,
You all firmly think  and believe
One is or was born
 With the same "I" feel
That he will die with?
Or, you all firmly think and believe
One is dying with the same "I" feel
He is or he was born with. Right?"
 
"Master,
Has it not to be like that?
We get confused,
And we are now confused
To hear you rising such a question."
 
“Don’t you see, then, my dear friends,
That I am eating only the pain
With my body happened to be sick?
 
If what you say and claim is true
That you all love me, not my body,
Why can’t you all help and save me
From the pain and confinement
Of this sick body
By killing this my mere body?
Especially if you are sure
I am separate from my body,
And I can exist separate
From my body?”
 
 "If I will, for sure, survive,
And if only my body is perishing, 
No one will be lost or missed
By killing this body mine;
Whereas, you can save me
From the pain I am made to
Eat and swallow for no good,
But for my body is sick.
 
“As you may, for sure, know,
Body is perishing; I am not,
And I am not by and because of
My body?”
 
“No, Master, no.
We can’t kill your body too,
For we fear or we are unsure
Whether the body we kill
Will kill you too?
Whether we will have to miss you,
When we will miss your body.”
 
“True, dear my friends,
You will have to miss me
When you miss my body.
Just because,
As you have earlier said,
I will escape from
The confinement of this body.
 
But, dear y friends,
Won’t you have the satisfaction
That you are saving me
From the pain I am made to eat
For no good and purpose.
And I hope for your selfish want
Of seeing me in person or physic
You won’t want or lead me
To eat pain and for that be living.
 
“Or, dear my friends,
Do you have any thought or doubt
That I am because of my body
And I will be missed or lost
When my body is missed or lost?
 
Do you doubt for your knowing,
That I have ever been changing
As and when my body changed,
Growing and maturing,
Each minute and day.
So will die and perish too
With the perishing of
This same my body?"
  
“Yes, Master, yes.
True, we have been seeing and observing
That you were growing and maturing
With your body's growth and maturity.
 
“No one, we have ever seen,
Is or was born ripe and mature,
With ripe or mature “I”.
 
“One is, in any normal case,
Dying too with the feel different
From that of one’s birth,
Almost over-mature or over-ripe,
Fading with over-mature or over-ripe “I”.
 
"So, dear my friends,
Do you mean now,
To contradict your own earlier say,
That one is by and because of his body?
 
“Or do you mean to say
No one is or no one was ever born
With any specific "I" or “I” feel,
And with anyone’s birth
No particular identifiable “I“
Was ever born
Or no particular “I”
Ever does exist,
As being responsible,
As a constant with continuity
To remain as same for ever
Without undergoing any change?"
 
“No master no, but yes too.
We really get confused
And we are not sure.”
 
"Then, dear my friends,
Why do you happen to say
You love me, not my body
If there is no separate “I” or “me”
From that of my body
Or its functional feel?
 
Dear my friends,
Do you think that
I own and possess my body?
Or does the body own and possesse me
Causing me to be dying with the same body?
 
As for you, do you think, my dear friends,
I am in control of growth and change of my body?
Or is the body in control of growth and change in me?
 
Dear my friends,
Wasn't I, or am I not, changing and growing
With the growth and change of my body?”
 
Isn’t it true that the body is possessing and owning me
Than me owning and possessing the body?
 
Was not or is not the “I” feel in my body or anyone’s
Only the feel and urge of the body to live and survive?
 
Was there or is there a living body
Without an "I" or a "me" therein?
 
Was there or is there an "I" or a "me"
Without a body therewith?
 
Is not or was not the "I" feel
Only a by-product feel
Of the functioning living body?
 
Then, isn’t it false
To say or claim that
You loved me,
Not and never my body?
 
Isn’t it true
That you loved the living body
And “I” in that body is not
Separate and different from that body?
 
So, dear my friends,
Wasn’t or isn’t so
That you took this my body as me
Or you took me as this my body?
 
Or didn’t you mean to say
I do not exist or live
Except in the form of this my body?”
 
Dear Master,
We can say and reply
For all your above questions
Only yes
As we all really don’t know
What is what.

If “I” does not exist,
Continuing from here-before,
Hence, if “I” is a non-existing entity,
Except as a transient feel,
But not as a constant with continuity,
To continue to be in hereafter,
What and who will be lost and missed
If you kill me to save me from the pain?
Especially, my dear friends,
If I am even otherwise  non-existing
As I was never born as “I”,
Hence will never be dying too as “I”.

The way you understand,
Know and identify
“I” and “me” now”.
 
If “I” was not born, my friends,
Then how can I be killed and dying?

“I” was not born;

Born was a baby child
Or a small living body piece
With no specific feel of “I”.
 
Dying will be
A different man or an old man
Or an old living body piece

From the "I" feel at the time of birth.
 
Then, what and who is or was born?
 
A body with no pre-birth feel of “I”.
Or a body with no with-birth feel of “I”.
 
What and who is or will be dying?
A body with no with-death feel of “I”
Or a body with no post-death feel of “I”.
 
Dying is a body piece
Which happened to have grown in it
A kind of Post-birth built up
Urge and feel of “I”.
 
The same “I” feel got later on
Evolving into different “I”s
Of childhood, adolescence,
Youth and old-age
Growing and changing with
The growth and change
Of the body.
 
And this “I” happens to be
Gradually fading out
With no specific feel of “I” to remain
As the body which caused
Such an “I” feel also fade out.

That could be the reason,
My friend Descartes rightly said,
If he really meant it in this way,
“I think, so I exist”
Or “I think, therefore I am”;
Not otherwise.
 
He said very clearly that 
I exist because I think;
Not otherwise.”
 
Never had he said
I think because I exist.
And never had he said
I exist, so I think.
 
Dear my friends, 
Bodily aspects and functions
Made the body or its brain
(One of the many body parts)
To be knowing, feeling and thinking.
 
And except for that body’s or brain’s
Knowing, thinking and feeling
“I” does not exist or live.
Only the life lives
Or the living body lives.
 
The body or its brain
Happens to have the feel of “I”
And happens to know, think and feel
It is living and existing.
So, the “I” happened to be.
 
Not because “I” was born or existing
With a pre-existing feel of “I”.
Or not because “I” is born
And is existing as a constant
Never undergoing any change
In such a feel of “I”.
 
Because of thinking and feeling
“I” happened to be.
And I happen to exist
Because of such feel and thought.”
 
Just because the body
And brain happened to be,
How transient it be,
The think, feel and know
Of “I” also happened to be.
 
Never because we exist or existed
As a separate entity with continuity
As a constant from past to future,
Through the present and current
With specificity and specific identity.

Hence, dear my friends
Why can’t you kill me
To save me from
Pain of this sick body?
 
Within the sick and paining body
I can never be but sick and paining.

And dear my friends,
You have not to be so adamant
To make a non-existing “I” or “me”
Existing.
 
Only, what you call or consider,
The totality or god or life exists
Making itself to be the only constant
With continuity and flow.
 
Hence, only the life and its bodies exist.
Only the God and its forms exist.
Only the totality and its relativities exist.
 
Dear my friends, even if I die,
Life or God or totality
Will flow and continue
With no decrease in its
Quantity and density.
 
Just because God or totality
Remains to be the same.

Do you mean to say
You are not afraid of death,
When we are all afraid?
How is it possible?
 
Dear my friends,
It is not a big magic
Not to be afraid of death.
 
Ignorance causes fear.
Ignorance causes darkness
In dark no one knows
What is what and
Where and how to move.
Hence, fear or becoming afraid.
 
People are so ignorant
That they take “them”
As very concrete and constant.
 
They are also ignorant as to
What will happen to “them”
After death of so-called “them”.
 
Dear my friends,
I am very much sure
And well aware that
“I” or “you” or “them”
Do not exist,
Except as a transient feel,
Except as feel required
In objective or relative
Social life and system,
But not as a concrete constant
Before or after death.
 
Hence, dear my friends,
I am well-aware of
What is death and after death.
 
That there is nothing after death
Since there is no “I” or “you” or “them”
To be responsible with or accountable for.
 
Then, dear Master,
What will remain ultimately
After death and destruction?
 
Dear my friends,
If “I” doesn’t exist,
If “I” was not born
And “I” is not dying
Or will not be dying,
Where is the chance
Of after-death
For the “I” and “me”?
Where is the chance for
Continuity in after death
For the non-existing “I” and “me”?
So, where is the chance
To be afraid of anything
In after-death?
 
"Dear my friends,
Wrongly or by mistake
Religions have been concretizing
The “I” feel or ego in every one
In order to be able
To say and interpret that
There is life after death, and
This ego or “I” will have continuity
In after death life.

"Religions concretize
The "I" feel or ego.
They concretize ignorance
And its by-product fear.
The fear of death and after death
 
"So, in effect, such religions are
Claiming and promising
Rebirth and paradise after death.
The rebirth to this "I", ego.
Hence, religions are trying to concretize
The ego and its wants in every one.
 
"For such religions,
Death and after death promises are
For opening an extension counter
To satisfy the selfish wants of
Such concretized egos or “I” feels."
 
"Master,
What, then, will remain and exist
After the death and destruction?"
 
"Dear my friends,
What was there
Before the birth and creation
Will remain to exist after
The death and destruction too.
The totality, the life, God.
 
You came from, what you call,
The totality or God or life
Without a “you” or a “pre-birth you”.
 
You will go back to the same
Totality or God or life
Without a “you” or a “post-death you”.
 
Let this totality be called
“Life” or “God”
Or whatever name each one of you
Want to give with your
Knowledge or ignorance.

Call or address this totality or God
The way you can
From within all your limitations.

Having said so, as above,
As you said it to be like,
What is the ultimate meaning life?"
 
"Dear my friends,
Meaning of life is
The meaning of God or totality.
 
Meaning of life is
The meaning of life,
The whole.
 
But, my dear friends
As for your transient or temporary body
Meaning of life is repetition of
Eating, drinking, sleeping
And doing whatever possible
To make sure of this repetition
And, thereby, prolonging life
Of such repeating acts and wants.
 
You may in result,
In whatever way, end up 
In working for living
And living for working
Making itself the meaning of life.
 
Meaning of your work and job
Will finally become
The meaning of your life.
Meaning of your engagement
Will become meaning of your life.
You will identity your life
With the engagements you are engaged in.
That will be the meaning of a life that is relative.
And that will be the meaning of a life that is social.
 
You can’t escape from this
Relative "I" or "you" feel trap of
The totality or God or life,
Except with the realization feel
That “you” or “I” does not exist.
 
This knowledge or realization
Of non-existing “I” or “you”
Only will get you back, while alive,
To be merged and united to be one
With the totality or God or life
To make your and my “I” feel
The “I” feel of totality or God or life.

To the extend to be able to say
I do not exist.
Only the totality or God exists.
Only the "I" of totality or God exists

As there was no other meaning to life
Than that of life or God or totality,
I did ask you to  help me
Simply by killing my this body
To save me from the pain of
This sick living body.
 
Just because of the relative trap,
I am in,
Of life or God or totality.

Don't be worried at all.
 
Because, if God or totality or life
Has got or given any other meaning
To this life of relative "you" or "me"
It will be the duty of God or totality or life too
To make sure such a meaning is given and happen.
 
God or totality or life is,
By any definition given or attributed to it,
Capable of ensuring such meaning
Given or attributed to "you" and "me"
Happen successfully with obstruction to it.
 
Dear my friends, hence,
You have not to be worried at all.
 
You have just to live and be living.
 
Your life itself will give the meaning
Attributed or given to you and your life.
