What did India get on 15 August 1947? Independence or Freedom or both?

Lucky we are.

When British ruled us

At least, we could know

Who our rulers were.

And lucky we are again, 

that

When Indians rule us

We are unable to know

Who our rulers are.

Still we do get

Fooled again and again

In the name of freedom and independence

And in the name of democracy,

Secularism and socialism.

Is not our freedom and independence

An excuse and pretext 
For our rulers and politicians?

Especially when it is in the name of

Democracy and secularism?

Is our love for our nation

Only when it is against British?

Yes.

Is not our love for our nation

Applicable when
We rule our nation?

No.

Our love for secularism,

Socialism and democracy
Is only a subject to be advocated
Only when

There is threat to the rule

Of our party.

Our love for secularism,

Socialism and democracy

Is only a subject to talk
When our party is ousted

From the rule it had
In the name of 

Secularism and democracy

And at the grace of 

Sheer ignorance and unawareness

Of our poor nationals.

What did India really get

On 15 August 1947 ?

Is it the freedom
Or  is it the independence?

Or is it both?

What is independence?
What do we mean by Independence?

What is freedom
What do we mean by freedom?

The answer is:

Freedom and independence are

Not the states of affairs,
Where one has to

Want and do more and more
Or a lot and lot.

Independence is not for resorting to
Or for being compelled to
Do anything, anytime.

Freedom and independence is

A state of affair, where one will have

To want less and do less, if not the least.

Freedom and Independence is
For least resorting to
Or for least getting compelled
To do things or to depend
On things external.

Freedom and Independence
Is a state of affair
Where one is not
Bound or made
To do or resort to anything.

Freedom doesn't happen

And doesn't stand

By itself and alone.

Because freedom doesn't mean
Independence.

Freedom stands by itself
And is sustained by itself

Only if supported by

Its back-bone, independence.

Freedom happens

Only when and after
One becomes independent.

How does one get to be independent?

The answer is:
One gets to be Independent

Only when he is self -reliant,

Only when he can take responsibility
For anything he does and wants.

Independence is a state of affair:

Where one doesn’t have to depend at all.

Where one doesn't have a feel of dependence at all.

Mature and self knowing, Independent one will be
With the least requirements.

Therefore, dear my son,

Freedom is for anyone who is independent,

Thereby, only to the one who is responsible.

And for the one who stands and lives by himself.

To be responsible means
To be able to respond by himself
Then and there
Where-ever and whenever
He see defects or demerits,
Or needs or wants.

Freedom without independence, hence,

Without maturity and responsibility,

Is  dangerous and poisonous.
Such an idea of freedom is and will be 
An idea or act that will hurt than sooth.

Freedom without being responsible
Will only boil to spoil.

That  is what India is in,
And Indians are in,
With its so-said to be freedom.

Independence is a state of self reliance,

Maturity and self knowledge.

Freedom is only a child or by-product
Of one's independence.

Freedom is in one's happiness and satisfaction

In and with whatever he does and has.

Freedom is when one is honest,
Hence not being or not feeling guilty.

Freedom is when one is open and is in open,
Hence, not afraid. 

In freedom,
One will have nothing to hide.

Freedom is in

Knowing and being mature

In front of own self, conscience,

So in front of all and the totality.

Freedom is in
When one is not and won't be afraid at all

Of any other internal or external 
Entities or forces or conflicts.

How is independence and freedom
For a country or a nation?

The answer is:
Independence and freedom is
Not at all for a country or a nation.

What, at the maximum, possible is
Independence and freedom
For each person or individual.

When everyone in a country 
Gets to be free and independent 
Such a country or nation 
Becomes free and Independent.

The disease of physical dependence,
Hence not independent for that reason,
Can be solved one or other way.
By medially treating it
Or by getting a physical support.

But, dear my son,
If the dependence is spiritual or mental?

Then the freedom and independence
Can never be given
Or can never be availed or got
From the market or British rulers.

Such freedom and independence is
Found and availed only from
One's own within, inner self, core.

Didn't independence and freedom of India mean to them

As if they are treating mother?

Are they not working to ensure their mother is sick and weak always

So that they can easily work for the welfare of 

The doctors and hospitals - their leaders and parties?

Did the change in hands and color of rule

Really become a blessing or burden?

Or did democracy become a burden or a curse

For India and Indians?
