Nation's soul is its national - Part 4

If one or two or more of Indians,

Our countrymen,

Get killed by or at the hands of

Any foreign country men,

Be it by a Pakistani intruders at the borders,

Or by Italians mariners in the sea,

Or by foreign Islamic terrorists

In Mumbai or Iraq or Afghanistan,

We, as a nation, are justified

To be agitated, 

And to take due course of

Action or relation.

Either by killing more of foreign country men

Or by waging sanction or war against

The country of such murderers

Or by taking due course of justice,

As it happens now in the case of Italian culprits.

But, what shall we say and do,

And against whom we will take

Retaliation or revenge

If we, Indians, kill

Our own countrymen?

Be it for political gain or for

Religious or communal gain.

***************

And, even if we take

Such revenge or retaliation,

What will be the end result?

What will be the end benefit?

More of our countrymen

Will be killed.

What complaint we will make,

And against whom?

What blame, on whom,

We will put?
