A leader who has allied with a group accused of treason, who for nearly fifty years hesitated to fly the Indian tricolor.

And followers who understand nothing, who believe that India has become a great economic power just because the leader says so.

What economic power has India gained that brings no benefit to the people, that has not raised people’s standard of living?

Is unemployment India’s economic strength?

Is the doubling and tripling of prices of daily necessities India’s economic strength?

Is falling behind even Bangladesh in per capita income India’s economic strength?

Is the increase in taxes on everything India’s economic strength?

Is the rise in fuel prices India’s economic strength?

Is the severe collapse of the rupee’s value India’s economic strength?

Is buying out every democratic institution India’s economic strength?

Is the ruling party’s own economic growth, achieved while effectively buying up the whole country, India’s economic strength?

Is handing the nation over to two Gujaratis — Adani and Ambani — and using them to build up the ruling party’s overall progress, India’s economic strength?
