Democracy or Bureaucracy?

Definitely what we call democracy

Is only bureaucracy.

No one can help it

As it is no one’s fault.

Initially, the bureaucracy was
By and under the benevolence of
Democracy or autocracy
Or by and under the benevolence of
King or dictators,

Later on, gradually,
Like the tiger make its rider
Its own prey,
All the democracy and autocracy,
All the rulers, be the kings or despots,
Or the democratic leader or autocrats,
Became by and under the benevolence
Of Bureaucracy.

The name democracy is only a beautiful dress

For the maid bureaucracy to put on, and,

To make itself look good and acceptable.

Bureaucracy is ruled and cared by itself

In the beautiful name of democracy or autocracy.

And democracy is also ruled and cared by bureaucracy

In the beautiful name of great democracy or autocracy.

Democracy or autocracy, now,
Has no such strong hands that can

Cut or control the hands and chains of bureaucracy.

Rather bureaucracy anywhere is organized enough

To controls, cut and, if possible, guide
Democracy or autocracy,

In the maximum good  or bad sense.

Then you may ask

Who the MPs and MLAs we elect are?

The answer is:

Just the puppets to hang above the bureaucracy,

For the bureaucracy to play and to manipulate

As they wish and to the directions they wish.

The whole functions and processes of democracy,
Election and parliamentary representation, are
The mock game, for the above purpose,
Orchestrated and played by bureaucracy
As the show and sign of its benevolence
To manipulate a country and its countrymen.

That is why any fool in our country
Is able to be an MP or an MLA.

That is why any fool in our country
Can be a Chief Minister or Prime Minister.

No quality control or no qualification required.

Since they are destined only to be the puppets
That hang around and above the bureaucracy.

Bureaucracy does not care and fear them,
Except for pretension,

To disguise themselves with the name of democracy.

And the bureaucracy for sure knows

Any fool is elected as MLAs and MPs
Or as Chief Minister or Prime Minister
For no further consequences to them.

Any fool is becoming chief minster or prime minister

For no further consequence to bureaucracy.

Such MLAs and MPS,

Such Ministers and Prime Ministers, are there

Only to get their commission from bureaucracy

In the great name of democracy
In the form of salaries and pension.

Bureaucracy is ruled by themselves.

No minister or ministry can obstruct them
From being ruled by themselves,

But protect bureaucracy.

Ministers and Ministries, who mostly nothing
Work at the whims and fancies of knowing bureaucracy.

Not otherwise.

And no minister or ministry can do

Anything detrimental to the bureaucracy

Or its interests.

What we call as judiciary, executive and legislature in division

Is nothing but the division of bureaucracy for its own convenience.

They are all nothing but bureaucracy.
Never democracy

Even at the loss or starvation of the country and country men

Their salaries, allowances, bonus, and promotions

Will go upwards only, in ascending order.
Because bureaucracy is ruled for and by itself
Without having to answer to the people at all.

Democracy is because of bureaucracy.

Not otherwise and not other way round.

If bureaucracy is good, by chance or by luck,

Democracy also can be good, by chance or by luck.

Not otherwise and not other way round.

Gimmicks of democracy is basically,

Just for name sake.

And after all,

If a country and its country men

Really need to be ruled, served and controlled

Bureaucracy, be it is good or bad, is a must.

Not the democracy and never the democracy.

Democracy is only costlier a drama

That put further burden on the shoulder of country men

Whoa re already under the burden of necessary evil bureaucracy.

I can’t create truth and world.

My dear son, 

I don’t teach you.

Nor I can teach you 

The truth.

Rather you just happen

To see or find it.

You happen to learn 

By yourself.

Your eyes were there with you.

And the truth

You happened to see or find

Were also there near you.

Just because your eyes, 

The windows, were closed

I had to help you open.

And you are seeing yourself

Now with your own eyes

Your own world and truth.

Just because 

Things were covered 

I did help you

Or I did  uncover them.

And, now,

You are seeing it yourself.

The world and truth

That is not mine,

But only yours.

The world you live in 

Is not a new world.

God you believe in

Is not a new God.

It is new because 

You are born new

And your eyes are open new.

Only you are late to be born

To see and experience this world.

This world gets renewed with your birth.

Or your eyes or windows

Were closed.

I did not create, 

Nor I gave you, 

A world or truth new.

Instead, 

I made you open

Your eyes, your windows.

So are you seeing,

My dear son, 

The world or truth

As new.

Were created or given by me.

It was there as it is there.

You were like mirror,

Covered or dirtied,

Unable to give reflection.

I removed the cover or dirt

From your face, your eyes.

Now you can make reflection.

Not by the capacity I gave you.

But by the capacity your own.

Nether I made you to a mirror

Nor I gave you its capacity to reflect.

Dear my son,

Water was there, underground.

I just removed the soil and mud.

You saw the water.

You called it a well.

So, now you got a well

And you are drinking from it.

Neither I gave you a well

Nor the water in it.

I just removed the mud or the soil.

I am just a remover.

Or a cleaner.

Never the creator

Of truth and world.

Dear my son

 I can’t make you see or swallow.

                               

Swallowing and seeing,

You will have to do yourself.

I can’t create for you

Truth and world.

I can only uncover

Already existing world and truth.

Hence it becomes new.

I can’t see for you.

I can only enable you to see.

Selfishly, one can’t but be selfless.

Selfishness is not a disqualification

Nor selflessness is a qualification.

Nothing there to be proud of being selfless

And nothing there to be fearful of being selfish.

Selfishness is nothing but selflessness

And selflessness is nothing but selfishness.

Equally meant to support each other
And to maintain and sustain

The dance of life and course of survival.

Selflessness is:

The selfishness of escaping and evading

The heat and hardship of pursuing

The wants and wars of selfishness.

Mostly helplessly,

But helpfully too.

Selfishness is:

Selflessness of undergoing

The heat and hardship of pursuing

The wants and wars of selfishness.

Mostly helplessly,

But helpfully too.

One can’t help but be selfless.

Or one can’t help but be selfish too.

Pursuing one’s own wants and desires,

One will have to leave

Its fruits and flowers

To all others selflessly

For and with no control.

That is how and why

Everyone is fed and supplied

With everything in life,

For survival.

That is how and why

Life is in its dance

Maintained and sustained.

The plants and trees:

Pursing their own wants

And collecting what all 

They can for that

Leave the fruits and flowers to all.

They can’t help but leave them to all.

They can’t stop anyone from enjoying them.

Helpless are they to be selfless.

Selfish are they to be selfless.

Selfless they leave them all to all.

They give birth to thousands

Selfishly with a view

To continue with its dream,

Genre and existence.

So are they selflessly leaving

Flowers, fruits and seeds to all.

Selfishly one serves selflessness.

Honeybees too

With their long selfish hard work,

Helplessly, but selflessly,

Leave their sweet honey to all.

Selfishly, one can’t but be selfless.

Selflessly, one can’t but be selfish.

So, the dance and flow

Of this great universality,

The life, God.

How I made up the conclusion that all are equally right.

It is from my finding and understanding

That all are equally wrong,

I got and made up the conclusion

That all are equally right too.

Is wrong too.

Tomato and jack-fruit also are good.

My “imagination” is what soul or spirit is.

Than merely saying

Soul or spirit

Is only my imagination,

I would rather say:

My “imagination” is

What soul or spirit is.

My imagination is

The soul and spirit of everything,

Even of the beauty.

Except for imaginations and expectation

Who lives, and who would want to live?

Who works, and who would want to work?

Except for imagination and expectation

This world and its affairs

Would not have happened

Purdah is not a dress code of one''s choice and option at all.

When does purdah become one’s option of volition and choice?

Only when the same purdah wearing woman can go without purdah too, with no fear of her husband’s frown or family members pressing or haunting of her community around.

Only when  she can choose her dress code without religious offer of paradise or threat of hell.

Purdah is/was not a dress code of one choice and option at all:

Until there is a religion of threats and offer behind it. Until there is a society, family and a husband forcing (and frowning at) her to wear such a purdah.

Until she is and was taught from childhood onward (to make it her habit to wear such a purdah), which she finds unable to escape from even afterward.

Until there remains ignorance and stupidity termed as ideology and faith, blind imitation and following religious prescription for fear and social acceptance and security.

Purdah by itself is a negative symbol of incriminating all menfolk on one side. Its basic principle is the principle of suspecting all others. Purdah wants to see the women  as an object and instrument of sex only and nothing else. Purdah wants all the menfolk to look at the women only for sex. Purdah basically denies one’s individuality (especially when they veil their face) and one's right to know and recognize who the other person is. It denies one's right to know whether (veiled) approaching one is a man or woman, or a thief or a criminal or an extremist under the veil.

Ignorance or stupidity or suppression ( fear and helplessness due to the ignorance, stupidity and suppression) with religious offers and threats (paradise and hell) cannot be termed as one’s option and choice at will at all.

The mistake starts from here. No one in India is addressed (even officially) as an Indian, but is addressed as a Muslim of Hindu or Sikh or Christian. As a man or woman of certain religion only.

Why should it happen so? This has to stop. Governance and justice given is to Indians, not to any person of any religion. In India, at least officially, one shouldn't be asked of their religion and community and should be addressed only as an Indian. Religion should not be the way and means to identify the nationals of India. If identified so, and if religions are given such a free hand even in identification, what will happen is, the people of India will easily choose and go with the religion than with the nation of India. They will prefer their religion to their nation if at all they are given with a choice between the nation of India and their religion.

Freedom, democracy and secularism in India was conveniently used (misused) only for teaching of religious extremism and intolerance. Never was it used (even by the so-called secular parties) for teaching the secularism, freedom, democracy and love for one’s own nation.

All Indian political parties in their strife and struggle for power and money willingly and intentionally forgot to teach what the nation is and by what the nation of India is existing as a nation. They never wanted to teach them what democracy and secularism is and how India can sustain itself to be democratic and secular.  Instead, our secular parties got trapped into gimmicks and tricks of religious organization for their fear of loss of vote bank.

Even in Kerala, in the ongoing Panchayath and District Panchayath election ( November, 2015), what embarrasses us is that the women candidates of even communist party are wearing purdah.

Secular parties (even Communist parties) could not teach and change the religious society to be secular and democratic. Rather, the religions and its organizations are teaching, changing and pressing the secular (and communist) parties to be religiously extreme with their religious dogmas.

So, embarrassing is what happens now even in Kerala. People easily choose and go after their religion than the nation, love and dedication for nation, its secularism and democracy.

India as a nation of diversity welcomed all different religions from old days onward. Just because India has/had it already within it. India is the only country which could welcome foreign thoughts and religions like that. But what went wrong is/was that such welcomed religions and thoughts started denying India’s diversity and started extremely claiming its exclusivity to their righteousness and started teaching all others as wrong and only they right and final.

India as a nation (its rulers) has/had to teach its national what the secularism, nationalism and democracy is and was meant to be, which it did not hitherto. Without teaching it nationals what the secularism, nationalism and democracy is, how such nationals be expected to be nationalistic, democratic and secular? Especially when religious educations and teachings are given continuously and consciously.

On one hand India does not teach its nationals the basic tenets of nationhood, nationalism, secularism and democracy and love for the nation. On other hand it is giving free space and hand to religions and its organizations to do their activities, open educational institutions of their own kind and ideologies and teach their extreme and intolerant religious ideas.

It is from this kind of Madrasa and other religious education system purdah and intolerance become the faith and practice that is commonly accepted and rampant. Basically Madrasas or religious educational institutions as a separate education system and institution should be stopped and should not be allowed. The language of Arabic or Sanskrit can be taught from Government schools as well and it should be taught only from government schools and institutions. In the name of teaching Arabic Language, government should not give chance and free hand for the extremists and intolerant people to teach ideas of anti-nationalistic extremism and intolerance into the innocent minds of children.

Purdah is not a dress code of one choice and option at all until there is a religion of threats and offer behind it.  Until there is a society, family and a husband frowning at her and forcing here to wear such a purdah. Until she is/was taught from her childhood onward (to make it her habit to wear such a purdah), which she finds unable later on to escape from. Until there remains ignorance and stupidity termed as ideology and faith.
